Summary: SCUMM Can't save.

Initial Comment:
I am not able to save my game within ANY of the SCUMM-
supported games I have.

As well, whenever I try to view a close-up screen 
(i.e. generator blueprints in tentacle or newspaper 
in atlantis), the game freezes, with the error 
message (example from atlantis): 

"failed to save game state to file:
atlantis.c99"

followed by

"failed to load game state from file:
atlantis.c99"

After this, the game locks up, and I have to Window-D 
my way out.

I am using Windows XP Home.
