Initial Comment:
ScummVM 1.0.0rc1 (2009-08-31) added an experimental AdLib emulator from DOSBox. However, this seems to be the older emulator from versions up to DOSBox 0.72.

Starting from DOSBox 0.73, there is a new AdLib emulation core that sounds much closer to a real OPL chip.
