Summary: KQ3: PCSpeaker affects Graphics mode
Initial Comment:
To reproduce:
Run scummvm with the following settings
Graphics mode: SuperEagle
Render mode: default
Audio Preferred Device: default
No custom game settings
Launch the game and you will see EGA graphics (the KQIII banner has a red background)
Now CTRL-F5 back to launcher and change Global Audio Preferred Device to PC Speaker and relaunch the game
You will see non-EGA graphics (possibly Amiga? the KQIII banner has a pink background)
now CTRL-F5 back to launcher and change the Global Audio Preferred Device to default again.
It stays with the Amiga graphics.
now CTRL-F5 back to the launch and change the Render Mode from default to EGA and relaunch the game
Now it has EGA graphics
Scummvm compiled from source on Linux
bc48b124f05f0f602d80bf26eecc1f7237c83da3
ScummVM 1.3.0git3513-gbc48b12 (Mar 1 2011 22:20:16)
Features compiled in: Vorbis FLAC MP3 ALSA SEQ TiMidity RGB zLib FluidSynth
./configure --enable-sci32
I have attached 3 screenshots:
Normal: Regular EGA
Weird: Amiga-like with EGA cursor when picking PCSpeaker
Actual Amiga: picking Amiga render mode with Amiga cursor shown
This bug is very minor as it doesn't seem to happen if you quit and relaunch but only if you use the return to launcher functionality
