 Apparently, when the Gargoyle Frotz displays an on-screen textbox/quote,
 it does so by expanding the upper status line area to let it display the
 dialog in it's window (which is a grid). However, after display, as more
 text is typed, apparently the entire status window is scrolling off-
 screen, whereas only the extra lines should be gradually removed
