Comment:

 Thanks for your report. We were erroring out in the Mohawk engine when no
 sound device was available. This is unfriendly for users. I've changed the
 behavior to show a GUI error message instead.

 It does not make too much sense to play Myst and Riven without a sound
 device as there are sound-based puzzles. Thus I don't think it is
 necessary to go through the complication of allowing the games to run
 without a sound device.

 The fix was done in commit 3b794d26337 and will be available in daily
 builds with versions 2.1.0git-2290 and above.
