 Have tried loading your savegame in my copy of QFG-IV which is from the
 Quest For Glory anthology, but this will not load with an error:

 Access violation reading script.38 buffer: 17012 + 2 > 4807 (abs: 17012 +
 2 > 4807)!

 What version of QFG4-CD are you using? Please can you attach a file
 listing of your datafiles along with MD5sums as per, but not limited to
 5000 bytes to allow us to check for corrupted files and work out your
 exact version:
