Comment:

 This is how the original game placed these videos, so there's not much
 that can be done without possibly breaking existing functionality.

 When you check the new video upscale option, the videos will also be
 centered on screen - this is because if video upscaling fails in a
 specific case, the user will always have the option to disable it and
 continue playing normally.

 Closing as won't fix
