New description:

 I noticed that mostly Flicker is missing his shadow, but not all of the
 time (he got it in my playthrough back at chancellor back). Also sometimes
 other characters dont have a shadow like Sir Burnevere when he got freed
 from the doctor.
 The issue was reproducible directly at start of the game.
