Comment:

 Thanks. This is now fixed.

 Note: You do not need to set the "Always return to the launcher when
 leaving a game" option. If from the AGS game you displayed the ScummVM
 menu (Ctrl+F5) and selected Return to Launcher, and then tried to start an
 AGS game again, this was also crashing.
