 I'm wrong about the steps then.
 In the attached savegames, I have done everything there is to do at that
 point of the game in the first location (the bar), so there are more items
 in my inventory.

 I tried reproducing the bug by obtaining the same items from the first
 location before going to the store but the bug didn't happen!

 So it's not that either.
 Perhaps it has something to do with saving and loading a lot. I will try
 to find the rule.
