 Yes, can confirm that on AmigaOS4 effect also wors in software mode.

 That probably mean that OpenGL-based code in Myst3 needs to be byte-
 swapped when handling of this effect happens ? (software renderer seems to
 be Endian aware and that why it wors imho)
