 verification or debugging purposes.

 Could you please share your exact patch?
 I haven't really put time to look further into this, but if it's not
 something an obvious bug in the code (that is triggered on only some
 devices), then we could potentially add a backend specific checkbox to
 disable the hover code as a workaround.
