New description:
These are versions of the magnetic scroll games with the amiga graphics
and enhanced interpreter for the ZX Spectrum Next. I've noticed that
scummvm only supports the games in this collection if they happen to
include the original file as a data file, not the .nex files (which are
the enhanced versions and probably use the files in the 'gfx'
subdirectory).
This is the reason why, for instance, corruption is added but not jinxter.
To quote the site:
{{{
There are actually two versions of each game in the compilation:
<game>_512.nex uses the Timex hi-res mode (512 x 192) for displaying the
text and <game>_256.nex uses the standard Spectrum mode (256 x 192).
The auto-bootable compilation uses the Timex hi-res mode version of the
games
since they are really the best ones. In the games-only compilation, you
can
decide for yourself which version you want to run.
}}}
This is a small white lie, sometimes there are game.mag files and this is
what scummvm is picking up (but not always).
Anyway the downloads are here:
https://gitlab.com/strandgames/brahman/-/tree/master/zxnext_magnetic/games/compilation
I'd love if this was supported.
