 I've opened a PR with a potential fix for this here:
 https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/pull/3638

 The issue was shortly discussed yesterday in the forums here:
 https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=16472

 I've noted some other potential bugs that I've encountered while testing,
 but those probably belong to their own bug tickets, after more testing and
 feedback.
