 I don't know why, but the first rooms on F5 don't have subtitles available
 when you load them directly  from the menu. I am also quite sure, room 2
 (outside of jail) lost the subtitles also directly. If you load from a
 save with working subtitles, the bug is not showing up.

 When I start the game new (start in jail), I get following messages in the
 shell, not sure if this is related at all.
 WARNING: VocStream::preProcess: Caught 128 as terminator!
