 I have the same issue with the current daily build 2.6.0pre26-gdac4ba3e1d9
 on macOS 12.4.
 I tested a bit and could avoid the crash when changing the audio options
 of the game.
 When I override global audio settings and set "Text and speech" to
 Subtitles or both the intro works and doesn't ScummVM doesn't crash
 anymore, setting it to Speech

 Unfortunately for me the intro isn't playing correctly the parts where
 they speek is skipped almost immediately also it could be that the
 playback is a bit too fast.
 Also there is no music during the sequence but I think that's a known
 issue.
