 I hit these same bugs a while back in Kathy Rain and it stopped me from
 progressing. This was on Linux x86_64 so not platform specific and this is
 not a recent regression.

 If I can load from my savegame to replicate, I will try doing a check of
 older revisions of the AGS engine / bisection to see if I can locate if
 this is a regression.
