 The overlays bug might be responsible also for issues in bugs: #13412
 (some missing button icons), and #13187 (a character's robe is not drawn).

 I'll try and check when we port the fixes from upstream.
 (it would take me too much time to try and build upstream locally and
 check now, at least that's my impression from the last time I tried it).
