 If you go to put an item with quantity into your backpack, say 10 obsidian
 coins, a the slider menu appears asking you how many you want to take.
 If you then go to take those 10 items out of your backpack and put them on
 the ground, you don't get the slider menu, you just automatically drop all
 10.

 In the original Ultima VIII, the slider menu appears whether trying to
 place items in or removing items from your backpack. The slider also
 appears when throwing stackable items far away.
