 I have noticed an odd thing -- some games do not show subtitles anymore.
 Usually I have "both" under audio options (i.e. speech and subtitles) and
 this doesn't work anymore.

 I've tested two (three) games:
 - Full Throttle demo - issue present (works fine with 2.6.1)
 - Full Throttle full - issue not present
 - COMI full - issue present (works fine with 2.6.1)

 Tested on latest 2.8 master.
