 For what it's worth, now that 2.8.1 is out, I finally managed to test the
 version I have.

 Once the game is started, this version has the logos for Dreamcather, The
 Adventure Company, LK Avalon and Detalion, before the main menu pops up.
 The main menu has the text "Copyright (C) 2001 LK Avalon.

 Yes, the game text and voices are in English.
