 I've checked the demo.

 Can confirm as well, pressing the language button "English" ore "Español"
 just restarts the menu. I don't see a sound problem.

 When running the demo in windows 95, there's only sound after the language
 has been selected.

 The narrator and characters voices can be heard when starting the demo
 with the extra option `--start-movie=dqf/01c.dir`.

 We can keep this issue open to track the problem with the main menu.
