 I have an OSX 10.6 Intel VM somewhere, so I may look into this when I get
 access to it again.

 What I know, as a workaround, is that the OSX PPC release can be run on
 10.6 using Rosetta 1. So even if we don’t manage to restore the 32-bit
 Intel compatibility for 10.6, we could update the download/buildbot page
 descriptions to suggest this.
