 I got a similar issue a few times with GOG English version on Windows 10
 and recent builds from master HEAD, but sadly I cannot reproduce it
 consistently.

 It happens when I choose Quit from the in-game menu. It will go to black
 screen (sometimes) and I am able to hear the music of the game's main menu
 screen but nothing happens.

 Similar happened once or twice after I died on the first island (where
 Twinsen's home is). I think it was Twinsen being discovered and getting
 shot by "police" guys in his house once he reached it. The screen went
 black, I could hear the sound effect for the "Game Over" animation but
 nothing would happen afterwards. Again, I haven't found a way to reproduce
 it always yet.
