New description:

 Game: maniac-2gs
 Tested ScummVM versions:
 ScummVM 2.9.1 (May 24 2025 04:22:07)
 ScummVM 3.0.0pre21382-gf7f47b56658 (Dec 11 2025 14:15:05)
 OS: Windows 11 Enterprise 25H22 6200.7462

A very minor interface mistake. Maniac Mansion was originally released for
Apple II computers, listing IIe and IIc as compatible computer models.
This version of the game is supported in ScummVM. When you add the game to
the program, however, it is automatically detected as "Maniac Mansion
(Apple IIgs/English)", with Apple IIgs being set as a platform. This is
incorrect as, to my knowledge, there never was a version designed
specifically for Apple IIGS computers, generally regarded as a separate
platform from the classic Apple II line given its massive improvements in
 graphics and sound.

As said before, this is a very minor inconvenience and has no impact on
program usability. On the other hand, it can confuse some hypothetical
user who wants to play that port, only to "learn" that the provided game
 is a "different" version.
