 This one has put a stop to my current run. The usual tricks of hanging
 around, viewing the holomap and book of bu that worked pretty reliably in
 DOS version didn't work for me this time.

 I'd definitely consider this worth investigating for a fix even if it's
 technically not true to the original to fix it!
