 I tested this using the original executable on Windows 11 and was not able
 to replicate the bugs described here, so I think this is specific to
 ScummVM.  Save games for ScummVM are available if needed, but
 unfortunately I've been unable to replicate the Chapter 2 "NPC" scroll,
 but I do have a save game at that area.
