 In the steps above you arrive at the lab from the top exit, so Brink
 wouldn't be immediately visible even if he were at the bottom level near
 the device's console. However, as the scene plays out in-game, he's not
 there when Low and Maggie reach the console. He appears coming from the
 left side of the screen at that point.
