#16021: SCUMM: DIG: Background Layer overlaps badly with Low
-----------------------+---------------------------
Reporter: antoniou79 | Owner: (none)
    Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Component: Engine: SCUMM
 Version: | Keywords:
    Game: The Dig |
-----------------------+---------------------------
This was tested on ScummVM 2.9.1 and also recent 2.10.0git local build on
Windows from master HEAD, with The Dig (English) version from GOG.

The issue was spotted and described on Discord by eriktorbjorn (engine-
scumm channel) along with a short video demonstrating the issue:

 Issue quick description:
 - Low seems to walk over a background layer in an entrance of a case,
which looks like a case of bad layer priority.

 Steps to reproduce:
 - Go to Map spire with the tram
 - Exit to Ledge
 - Click on the cavern exit to the right (at the end of the bridge)
 - When entering the cavern (in the same screen), Low overlaps badly with
the entrance for a little while.

If exiting from the next screen to the ledge, the bad overlaying does not
 seem to happen.

 See attached screenshot.

 Findings so far:
I haven't checked with DREAMM or Steam's version, but I did check some
 playthroughs on Youtube:
 - This playthrough does not have the issue:
 https://youtu.be/TgjlQGi3EW8?si=gAYXTaftaUzpQ3Jg&t=7183 (timestamp at
1:59:43) and in description it says it was played on Retroarch DosPure
 - This playthrough also does not have it (timestamp at 2:12:53)
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68cZdKKKq8o&t=7973s but there's no mention
of how they ran the game.
 - A playthrough uploaded 7 years ago
 (https://youtu.be/7ebYlWbE6-w?si=vTcSEOUg7nAoQIhO&t=5717 timestamp at
1:35:17), clearly using ScummVM 1.9.0.2, has the layers bug there too, so
if anything it's an old bug.
