 It seems that the +5 operation is executed in both operation lists - the
 ones I called `onLDownOps` and `onLClickOps` (or maybe a better name for
 the latter would be onLUpOps).

 That suggests I identified one of them wrong, because it doesn't make
 sense to do it on both.  It's possible that onLDownOps is actually middle-
 click ops? It might make more sense.  I'll look at the original a bit
 closer to try to work it out.
