 It seems that compared to the EGA version, the TurboGrafx-16 version of
 room-33-200.dmp (which I think is the script that draws the untwisting
 animation) adds a bunch of `setState` instructions, setting the various
 objects's states to 0.

 I think this has something to do with either showing or hiding objects?

 If I suppress these calls, the stair drawing glitch seems to go away, but
 surely that's not the correct way of doing it.
