 I did all the steps you provided a few times, but there was no file
 generated. I also noticed that the debugger keeps setting off after
 relaunching.

 From my perspective, there is no real bug, but just the software not
 recognising CD2 from my files.

 Since we were adding recognition to my version of BS2 earlier (in the
 mentioned report #16449), could it be similar problem here? my files not
 being recognised by SCUMMVM as proper cd2 files?
