 I have compared it with DOSBox 0.74-3, and the audio there sounds very
 close to ScummVM 2.8.0.

 In contrast, starting with versions after 2.9.0 — including the current
 2026.1.0 release — the audio output differs noticeably from both DOSBox
 0.74-3 and 2.8.0.

 I am attaching a recording captured from DOSBox 0.74-3 for direct
 comparison. Based on this, 2.8.0 and DOSBox are consistent with each
 other, while the versions after 2.9.0 produce different output.

 Since you mentioned the SCI0 driver update, this might specifically affect
 SCI1 titles such as King’s Quest V. It may be worth verifying whether the
 changes introduced there also impacted SCI1 behavior.

 Please let me know if further comparisons or specific test cases would be
 useful.
