 I don't know if this issue could be dependent on playing a specific
 version of the game or in high-res/low-res mode, but if this could be a
 reference, here's pertinent segments from youtuber Dilandau3000's Let's
 Play of Gabriel Knight Sins of the Fathers, played in DOS.

 In those segments Gabriel walks around the bed, so it doesn't look like
 that version has the bug.
