 Copied from bugreport #16613

 One last critical bug to report, as it freezes the game. I finished Sikkim
 and I’m taking the plane for the last part of the adventure, heading to
 Peiping. Rippley talks to Mei and they share a kiss. After that, the game
 freezes with the background sound of people outside.
