 A couple items I noted inputting Pappy's name at Cappy's in Dry Creek:

 - the cursor should be red-outlined blue hand over the letters, not red
 magnifier;

 - apparently the letters should not be re-clickable until their sound has
 stopped playing. (there is a longer delay between ability to click in the
 original vs. ScummVM.) this is notable because in ScummVM, a letter can be
 re-clicked before its sound has finished, resulting in a "silent" (no
 sound effect) click, as the previous click's sound is still finishing
 playing.
