New description:

 The compass is hidden when one has a spell book open. After closing the
 book (with "abort spell") the compass still shows the direction one was
 facing at the time the book was open, not the current direction. If you
 move after that, the compass is updated to the correct direction.

 Expected behavior: When closing spell book, the compass shows the current
 direction the party is facing.

 Current behavior: When closing spell book, the compass shows the direction
 the party was facing at the time the spell book was opened.
