 Thanks for the quick reply. It seems you're right, and it appears to be a
 problem exclusive to the Spanish translation.

 I'm currently playing the QFG Collection version on Steam, which is the
 one giving me the error.

 I tried the game with another abandonware version I found with the
 translation already applied, and I couldn't replicate the same bug, so it
 seems to be a problem exclusive to the Steam version.

 I see that this version has a folder called "patches," and when I launch
 the game in the ScummVM console, I see a warning message notifying me that
 the game has a script patch applied... Is it possible that the files in
 this folder are interfering with the fan-made Spanish translation?

 The translation files I applied are from the CD version (Is this
 correct?). When I compare my version with the other one with the patch, it
 doesn't seem like I've made any mistakes with the files, so I don't know
 what I'm doing wrong.

 In any case, I'll keep investigating to see if I can figure out which
 files are causing the conflict, and if not, I'll try playing with the
 version I downloaded.
