New description:

When the GMM (Ctrl+F5) or debug console (Ctrl+Alt+D) are opened in-game
(3D looking), the mouse cursor moves very slowly compared to menus and the
rest of the system, and the cursor is stuck in the ScummVM window.

I can still get out via my window manager (e.g. press Windows/Super key,
or Alt+Tab, etc.), for example to read notes or access original game
window for comparison gameplay. But I think it is good (at least very
convenient!) for the cursor not to be trapped in ScummVM nor to move
 slowly in menus like GMM.
