Game: Opera Fatal (Windows/Italian, "I Grandi CD-ROM" by la Repubblica),
CD version
Target: operafatal-win-it
OS: Windows 11 (10.0.26200)
ScummVM: 2026.3.1git32051-g13d61c20ed4 (daily build Oct 7 2026); also
tested the Oct 2 2026 daily build (windows-x86-64-master-20bec53d)

Related: #13899 (English edition, which does start).
The game is detected correctly. The Repubblica logo screen appears, but
there is no audio during it (in the original game on the same CD the logo
plays with sound). After that the screen stays black indefinitely, cursor
active, no further output in the console.
Console output ends with:
"play movie "opera\intro\intro""
WARNING: STUB: loadConfig(): Movie bit depth is 8, but set to 32!
Tried, with the same result: running from the CD and from a copy of the
files on disk; forcing true color (32 bpp) on and off; V-Sync off; volume
and Windows mixer checked.
Files appear intact: OPERA/INTRO contains CON0822.MOV (audio-only
QuickTime clip, PCM 16-bit mono 22050 Hz, plays in VLC) and INTRO.DXR.
Full console log attached.
Note: the attached log.txt was taken with "Force true color (32 bpp)"
disabled. With it enabled, the log is identical except that it ends with
an extra line:
WARNING: STUB: loadConfig(): Movie bit depth is 8, but set to 32!
Same black screen and no audio in both cases.
