 > Thanks, though I hope the issue still gets solved. Would be a shame the
bug doesn't get fixed because I fumbled it years ago. (would be a simple
fix to point at the correct wav file).

I also noticed #12994; I think sluicebox doesn't have an appetite for
 fixing this.

played over the opening credits (perhaps a bug in low-res mode?).

That happens in GK1 CD Windows mode (which, I've read, is only available
in English, so your German version may not have it).

In Windows mode, the nightmare and credits intros play as AVI files,
INTRO.AVI and CREDITS.AVI. Both of them have digital music embedded.

For some reason, Sierra decided to embed the closing credits music
5400.WAV (fast, staccato orchestra hits) in CREDITS.AVI, instead of the
DOS opening credits music from 5.WAV (legato, bell tolling).

I guess that might be a bug? But the fix would be to either regenerate a
new CREDITS.AVI file using the AVI video and 5400.WAV audio, or to mute
the CREDITS.AVI audio and play 5.WAV over it. Based on #12994, I'd be
surprised if the team were interested in either approach.
