New description:

 I've just update ScummVM to the latest public release. I had already
 started a playthrough of 'The Dark Eye', upon launching the game after
 updating ScummVM, the game underwent some serious stuttering before
 ScummVM crashed.

 After re-adding the game and starting fresh, the game runs but the video
 sequences are either not playing or are severely distorted.

 I'm currently playing v1.0.3 of The Dark Eye, which according to the wiki
 is currently not fully tested. The video sequences had been working fine
 up until now and I hadn't had any issue starting the game since the latest
 patch.

 Edit: Some video files do work, but are playing faster than normal.
