 I didn't have any issues with starting the game until the patch. I'm
 working on an LP at the moment so up until that point I had been loading
 the game frequently without issue. After a few attempts with the crashing
 it will eventually load, it's inconvenient but it still loads.

 The videos are definitely an issue that have only happened since the
 latest patch. After the game does eventually load, the videos are
 letterboxed and stretched. The background video animations become heavily
 pixelated or play far too fast.

 It does seem like restarting the game one or two further times does seem
 to normalise things.
