This is probably easiest to test in Deja Vu 2.
One way to put on clothes in some Macventure games is to operate the
object on itself, i.e. select "Operate" then click twice on the piece of
clothing you want to wear.
It's very easy for this to register as a double-click, and ScummVM
apparently interprets that incorrectly as wanting to examine the object
instead.
I'm not sure what the exact behavior should be for all verbs, but for
Operate we're doing it wrong at least.
