It actually seems to be X that's actually doing all the work. I normally run
KDE, so I tried restarting with Ion in the hope that it was something KDE was
doing that was causing the problem, but no luck.
It's noticeable that the problem only occurs when ScummVM is actually
*drawing*. Static screens are fine, screens with small amounts of movement
(such as a single character) are also fine, but scrolling is deadly. Moving
the ScummVM window is, too.
...when Guybrush is talking to the lookout at the beginning of MI1, then Xorg
is sitting at about 20% and ScummVM at 3%. When the screen scrolls, it's 70%
and 7%.
