How about leaving the 0.8.0 branch alone for now, and we just make a  
0.8.2 release, w/o introducing even more "harmless" changes, and by  
this avoid breaking another game engine? :-)

Personally, I think having BS2 broken is bad enough to warrant a  
0.8.2 release *now*. We don't have to wait for other "important"  
fixes, as it's kinda hard for me to equal problems in a few HE games  
with a completely broken BS2 engine...
