Fine by me. So I assume you'd first import the FreeSCI repos under /
vendor/freesci, and once that is completed, do a "svn copy" to clone
the data into scummvm/trunk/engines/sci/, so that all files in there
keep their full history, right?

While I don't think they have to be added with its full version
history to the repos, I do think we should keep a backup, in case we
"forget" some of the data in the transition. The screenshots are not
just ending screenshots, but also screenshots demonstrating certain
features, or glitches, and stuff. BTW, Sarien had some really nice
engine glitch screenshots, and I have some for ScummVM games on my HD.
One of these days it would be nice to have a gallery with those, too ;-)

[One of these days it would be nice to have a revamped Website, too,
right, vex? ;-) Maybe with a full-blown screenshot gallery with
multiple categories. I am still a dreamer).

I am not sure how useful it would be, but my understand is that it
would be actually in particular useful for those who are *not* the
original developers, and who want to find out why a certain line of
code was written in the first place. But of course, if the original
repositories are still accessible on the net, that is not necessary.
Sarien is in the SF.net repos, right?

Now, if we had done that back when we added those engines (thus
linking the original history right into engines/agi/ resp. engines/
saga/), that would have been nice :-).

Cheers,
Max
