I agree that we really need the ability for visually showing game specific
options. As a further example, the Rex Nebular game has several options set
during installation, including whether to animate inventory objects, and a
naughty or nice mode. It would be much better to allow the user to set these
within the Edit Game dialog rather than forcing people to muck around with
the configuration file.
As for the original question. I think it better to have game specific
options rather than a generic 'disable enhancements'. Any game with specific
enhancements or features that we want to be optional can have their own
specific checkboxes for each feature, and it has the advantage of combining,
as per above, the ability to set up settings that have different possible
values.
