To clarify this, since it hasn't been said explicitly in quite some time:

We use the priority field in the bug tracker to label bugs that are "nice to
get fixed" (priority 7) or "critical" (priority 9) for this release, while the
default is 5.


Eugene has gone through the tracker increasing or decreasing priority as he saw
fit (thanks!) based on how serious the bug looks.

If you have more detailed knowledge of the severity of a bug, you are
encouraged to set it to a more fitting value (either up or down).

Please don't use values other than 5 / 7 / 9 for this, though.
