First off, Welcome!
As a former GSoC student, the number one best thing I recommend you do is
join our IRC chat if you haven't already.
Next look at http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/TODO and see if you can find
an easy-ish thing to complete. If nothing catches your eye, try asking
around IRC and see if anyone has anything for you to do. We just want to
get a feel for your coding style and to see if you can comply with the
coding standards. It's not made out to be something really really hard or
stressful, so feel free to ask if something isn't working or if you have
questions.
Third, feel free to ask one of us to look over your application. Nothing is
set until the final application date.
Again, welcome to our community and feel free to ask us any questions
Regards,
RichieSams / Adrian Astley
